Only problem was that my yeast was REALLY old, so both of my attempts to make bread failed terribly! Both didn't grow at all and I just wasted ingredients. I did find one recipe though on Pintrest for a bread that does not require yeast, and actually, doesn't require much work at all! It's the easiest and fastest non-bread machine recipe I've ever seen, and it tasted really good too. Unfortunately I wasn't in the "blogging" mindset during that time, so I made no records of it. But I will be making that one again, and will post soon after.
It's SOOO good to eat it right after it's done, and the buttery spread just melts on it!
This is definitely by far my favorite bread machine recipe! It turned out so much better than I expected. The bread was light, moist and fluffy. The crust was hard and crispy! I used the "basic" setting and "light" crust setting. When I peeked over the lid, I thought maybe I should have used a medium crust setting, since it looked pretty thin on top. And maybe it would taste good that way too, but the sides and the bottom had a perfect crust for my taste!
So if you're anxious for the recipe already, you can find it right >HERE<.
The only modification I made was that I added a tsp of onion powder, and added a little more water as needed to form a nice ball of dough, and also helped along with a spatula as the machine was mixing the dough.
But really the recipe is pretty perfect as it is! I also used "bread flour" since the recipe doesn't specify which flour to use. Next time I will try with White Whole Wheat Flour to see if it works the same way.
